We welcomed inspectors from Ofsted on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th October 2012. Read their report about our 'good' school for more information.

    PUPIL PREMIUM

FREE SCHOOL MEAL ENTITLEMENT - PLEASE REGISTER IF YOUR CHILD QUALIFIES FOR A FREE SCHOOL MEAL.

( Your child does not have to receive the meal but registering will make a big difference to the funding our school receives.)

Our school receives funding from the government called 'Pupil Premium' . The school will receive approximately £600 per child who is eligible to receive Free School Meals. In 2011-12 our school spent the Pupil Premium money on the Read, Write Inc initiative, this enabled the school to support children's reading, writing and maths, we also employed an 'Every Child Counts' maths teacher. This year the school has received funding in the region of £67,000. The money will be spent on purchasing new reading books for each class, guided reading materials for each class and improving the reading books in Key Stage 2. We have increased the hours of our SENCO - Mrs Grainger and our Every Child Counts Teacher - Mrs Howat. The school has also employed our own Speech and Language Therapist for a year and we will employ a temporary teaching assistant for a year.

If you think your child may be eligible to receive Free School Meals please register as soon as possible. Please do not hesistate to call into our school office if you need assistance or call Mrs Kelly on 76443333 or you can contact Coventry City Council direct on 76833333.

    Many thanks

    D. Mooney.
